For the last several years we’ve been heavily involved with a number of projects for Google, via our friends at Amplify who serve as one of their lead agencies. This has included both internal and public events, digital communications and identity design.
Recently Google held their annual ‘Think with Google’ event, a one day symposium focusing on the future of search and how it affects the marketing sector. The event was held at Victoria House in London, which welcomed 250 attendees and nine key-note speakers for an inspiring and enlightening day of talks, demos and workshops.
Working with Emote Studios, who designed the physical space, we created a flexible 2D identity for Think with Google which led attendees around the venue. This touched upon everything from wayfinding and print collateral to animated screen visuals announcing the different speakers. We also developed a look and feel for all digital communications in the lead up to the event, informing the audience about what to expect and enticing them to attend.
Earlier in the year Google also held the UK edition of their Demo Day event, giving an opportunity for ten start-ups from around the world to pitch their ideas to a room of high-profile investors. With production partner Made, we designed a physical manifestation of the Google identity inspired by wooden shipping crates, and an iconographic language to communicate the agenda for the day. This came to life as a series of animations, informing the attendees of what was happening at different points throughout the day.
